Here Are the Healthy Tips You Can Learn From Models

They may walk the runway in designer heels and pose under blinding lights, but many models’ real secrets to success happen off camera. Contrary to popular belief, staying healthy in the modeling industry isn’t all about extreme diets or endless gym sessions. It’s all about how they eat, sleep, and take care of themselves. In general, it’s all about balance, discipline, and smart habits that models implement into their daily routine.

But each model has her own healthy habits up her sleeves. Some swear by morning meditation and hydration. Others, on the other hand, prioritize yoga and mental health before anything else. So, in this blog post, we’ll take a look at the healthy tips famous supermodels, from Miranda Kerr to Candice Swanepoel, stick to.

5 Supermodels and the Healthy Secrets They Swear By

  • Miranda Kerr

When people find out that Miranda Kerr, a former Victoria’s Secret angel and founder of skincare brand Kora Organics, is 42 years old, they can’t believe it. The glowing and moisturized skin and the youthful energy she radiates make her look much younger. The secret, however, isn’t only genetics or professional makeup artists. Kerr has long emphasized that true beauty starts from within. She makes sure to set aside some time for meditation first thing in the morning. In an interview with The Happiness Planner, she said, “When I wake up, I try to meditate for about 15-20 minutes and then write in my gratitude journal.”

However, meditation isn’t the only thing that makes Miranda so good-looking. She’s also a huge fan of aromatherapy, early dinners, and waking up early. In The Skinny Confidential podcast, she revealed that she and her family have dinner at 4:30 p.m. She also wakes up at around 5 a.m. to make some time for herself before her family rises (at 6:30 a.m.).

And skincare isn’t the last thing in Miranda’s daily routine. She uses her own skincare brand, Kora Organics, for a shiny and glowy effect.

In general, Kerr isn’t the one to gatekeep her beauty routine, being pretty honest with her social media followers about what she does to look young and fresh, and we love her for that.

  • Gisele Bündchen

The second model on our list is Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen. At 45 years old, she leads a healthy lifestyle and is quite serious about her wellness routine. In multiple interviews, Gisele claimed that meditation is one thing that keeps her grounded. We all know how severely stress can affect anyone’s life, and Bündchen isn’t here for it. When talking about meditation, she claimed, “It can allow you to take a breath and come in from a place where it’s not reactive, but it’s more proactive. You’re like, okay, let me assess.”

But obviously, meditation isn’t the only thing that makes the supermodel healthy. An active lifestyle and strict bedtime routine are the steps Gisele swears by. She goes to bed at around 10 p.m. and wakes up at 5 a.m. to meditate. Drinking lukewarm water first thing in the morning and taking time for a stretch are her weapons that help her stay healthy and beautiful.

She also doesn’t play about nutrition and eats lots of vegetables and fruit. White sugar, of course, isn’t on her grocery list. “There’s so many other ways you can sweeten your things that are delicious,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “Honey, maple syrup, dates.”

All this isn’t extreme, as some may find, but rather a way to lead a healthy lifestyle. The things she does now, according to Gisele, helped her manage panic attacks and find a balance in life.

  • Karlie Kloss

At just 33 years old, Karlie Kloss, an American supermodel, seems to have it all. A former Victoria’s Secret angel who has appeared on 40 international Vogue covers, a founder of Kode With Klossy, and a mother of three, she’s achieved quite a lot. And just like every model, she has a routine she sticks to to be healthy.

In an interview with Marie Claire, she said that her ideal day starts by going to bed early, at around 9 p.m. She then wakes up at 7 a.m. the next day and starts her day with vitamins and a coffee. And oh, Karlie also doesn’t forget to work out in the morning.

She’s also a fan of massages and facials (aren’t we all?), and thinks that it’s important to minimize stress in everyday life. “Even if you have a stressful job, it’s about figuring out how to create time and space in your life for what brings you joy — whether that’s being around loved ones or something else. Any kind of antidote,” told Kloss Marie Claire.

In general, Karlie Kloss is a very busy businesswoman, yet she makes sure to find time for herself. For Karlie, self-care isn’t a luxury — it’s a necessity that keeps her grounded, focused, and ready to take on everything from fashion shows to tech conferences.

  • Adriana Lima

At 44 years old, Adriana Lima, a Brazilian supermodel, is a role model for lots of young girls and women. It’s hard to find a person who doesn’t admire her, whether it’s for her beauty, kind personality, or for being a Victoria’s Secret angel and walking in the most Victoria’s Secret Fashion Shows. But beauty isn’t the only thing that Adriana is proud of. She’s also a consistent and dedicated person who has her own tips for staying healthy.

Of course, her first secret is eating well. She has a nutritious breakfast first thing in the morning and eats balanced meals throughout the day. While other models prefer mainly yoga, Adriana does boxing, and she, in her own words, has been a fan of it since 19 years old. “When I’m boxing, I’m not in my head. That’s why I love it. It’s also great for my skin and hair because I sweat so much, which gets the circulation going,” she told Into The Gloss.

When The Cut asked Lima about whether her wellness practices have contributed to her career longevity, she answered positively, stating that longevity is her goal and that she wants to live to 100. Well, that certainly explains why Adriana does what she does.

  • Candice Swanepoel

Candice Swanepoel is a 37-year-old supermodel from South Africa and a former Victoria’s Secret angel. She, of course, has her own tips that make her look radiant. Just like everyone, Swanepoel wakes up early, and her breakfast depends on her mood. She also says that she doesn’t restrict what she eats. In fact, Candice, in her own words, was born with a fast metabolism and eats anything she wants.

Candies works out a lot, which helps her fast metabolism work even faster. She also doesn’t count calories and instead focuses on the food she eats being nourishing and healthy.

Swanepoel likes cardio and loves to run, and recommends it to everyone who wants to stay slim.
