Remember the hype when a group of nerd kids took over Netflix as the most-watched season? That was when it all started! Little adorable yet responsible Mike, the fuzzball Dustin, the strange eleven, and poor Will! We all watched the Stranger Things kids grow and refine every season, and we started anticipating their return every year! Guess they weren’t strange anymore, huh?
So when season 4 was in the shooting process, it was rumored to be the last season, but as we saw Vecna’s menace spreading over Hawkins at the end of season 4, we knew something big was coming! Stranger Things Season 5, the final season, is so far the most anticipated season on Netflix! The ending of last season has us hooked, and it seems like we have completed the full circle, and it’s all back to where it started! So far as Vogue Vocal has heard, the shooting of Stranger Things Season 5 is in progress, and we love all the “behind the scenes” we see!
After a long bond of seven years, we are trying to brace ourselves to say goodbye to our loved cast with Stranger Things Season 5! This sci-fi has had us on our toes with its phenomenal ending of season 4! At Vogue Vocal, we think that seasons 2 and 3 might not have worked as well, but season 4 was a masterpiece!
Stranger Things Season 5 has big shoes to fill as the last season was the “Most Streamed Season of 2024” Not only this, but our favorite nerds and freaks broke the internet by setting a Nielsen Record for Most Watched Show Ever with a whopping 7 billion viewing minutes in merely a week! Now, that’s impressive, isn’t it! So now, being the final season, people have great expectations for season 5! Will it live up to the hype of the past seasons? We have to wait to find out!
Stranger Things fans are counting the days and have all eyes set on the shooting of the final season. Vogue Vocal heard that the writing of the iconic Stranger Things Season 5 started in August 2022, only a month after the release of Season 4! The production began on January 8, 2024, after a long, unexpected break because of the writer’s strike, as the Duffel Brothers mentioned on their social media. On July 15, we got to know that production was halfway done, and we couldn’t have been more excited! This certainly gave the hope that Stranger Things Season 5 might be released in early 2025. The team celebrated the halfway production milestone as they released the much-awaited “behind the scenes” video, and the fans were overwhelmed seeing their favorite little kids all grown up and having fun on the creepy sets of Hawkins with Vecna!
The Duffer Brothers surprised the fans and gave them a sneak peek into the first chapter, which multiplied the anticipation and curiosity a million times! “The Crawl,” said chapter one, and we could feel the goosebumps visualizing Vecna crawling over Hawkins! So, as we can see from behind the scenes, all we know so far is that it will return home! Season one is in the corridors of their school, where Eleven put an end to the menace (as we thought so at that time). It’s back!
We have got a lot riding on Stranger Things Season 5! The Duffer Brothers sure know how to ignite our curiosity! Remember when we thought Hopper died, and we held back our tears? The Duffer Brothers brought him back; thank you! But also, why would you play with our emotions like that! One of the most loved stranger kids, Max, was in a coma at the end of season 4, but what will happen? Will she recover, or will things get sad? (Please no!) We saw the end of Eddie Munson in the last season, but we will still see him in Season 5!
So, is that a flashback? Or the return? We have to wait to find out! As for the plot, the naive Hawkins kids thought they outsmarted Vecna, but come on! It was Vecna, it survived just fine! The villain seemed furious at the end as the kids saw the ground breaking down, and Vecna was apparently back for revenge! The writers also revealed that Will has an important role in Stranger Things Season 5 as the full cycle completes since he was trapped in the “upside down” with Vecna. It’s about time we see Will in action!
The Duffer Brothers called this one “The beginning of the end,” so Stranger Things Season 5 is definitely the wrap-up to this amazing, nail-biting, jaw-dropping show! So, if you are wondering if it’s time to say goodbye, it is!
Now, are you thinking about the cast? Are we going to see all of your favorites again? Any new additions to the cast? The answer is yes and yes! You will see the original Hawkins family reunite to put an end to the curse of Vecna (ideally and hopefully), and you will also see some new characters as the story unfolds and takes the final turn. Remember the 1980s favorite icon from Terminator? That’s right, it’s only getting better and bigger!
Linda Hamilton will now be a part of the much-awaited final call of Stranger Things Season 5! Linda’s role in the final season has not been revealed yet, so that’s another surprise we are counting on! Other new names that are heard to join the doomsday are Jake Conelly, Nell Fisher, and Alex Breaux! Again, no details of the newly added characters have been revealed yet, but we are excited!
Now, the final question that everyone, including Vogue Vocal, is dying to find the answer to: “When will Stranger Things Season 5 be released?” We know it’s still in the works, and Vogue Vocal did some research, and we think it might not be as early as we are expecting it to be! We wish we get to see it in early 2025, but don’t get your hopes too high, as you might not see it until late 2025!
So here’s the final call for everyone who thinks they are too cool to watch Stranger Things; you are missing out! This is one of those iconic series that you’d regret not watching!
So, till we hear the final word about the season 5 release date, the best thing to do would be to catch up on Season 1 to Season 4! But Vogue Vocal must warn you, it’s addictive! You might find it hard to wait for the final season, but what can you do! So Stranger Things will always be on our Top 10 Netflix and Chill series list!
