It won’t be wrong to say that Spotify Wrapped 2024 confirmed that with the wrap of Eras Tour, this was Taylor Swift’s year! Taylor Swift bagged the most streamed artist globally! She turned the whole world into a Swiftie, and we at Vogue Vocal aren’t complaining!
Taylor Swift’s album The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology was the most streamed album in the US and globally! While Taylor Swift took the crown for most streamed Artist, Sabrina Carpenter outshined Spotify Wrapped 2024 with the most streamed song globally with Espresso! Sabrina Carpenter’s single Espresso was on top of US and global charts, and we aren’t complaining! We all saw this one coming as months passed by, and we still find ourselves playing it on repeat! There’s something about the catchy tune and lyrics: Vogue Vocal and the whole world seem to be “Thinking about her.” Now that’s how you show everyone that Sabrina Carpenter has arrived!
While a lot happened in 2024, our favorite artists were there for us through the good and bad times! The Spotify Wrapped 2024 showed how the world connected to these global icons through their music! The Weeknd, Billie Eilish, Bruno Mars, and Drake ruled the global charts in 2024. After the release of Spotify Wrapped 2024, we were ecstatic to find out the global artists’ rating, and it goes like this:
1. At number 1, we have the iconic Taylor Swift! 2024 was Taylor Swift’s year; it was her era, and we were just living in it! To celebrate Taylor Swift’s achievement, the Swifties are getting a little extra sparkle of sprinkles on her Spotify profile and a badge to honor her!
2. The Weeknd is one of the greatest artists who set new records this year. He became the first Artist whose 20 songs crossed 1 billion streams on Spotify, landing at number 2 on the list of Spotify Wrapped 2024!
3. At number 3, we have Bad Bunny! Spotify Wrapped 2024 would be incomplete without Bad Bunny, the most streamed Latin Artist and a global star!
4. Drake fans are loyal, and Spotify Wrapped 2024 proves this! One Dance stayed one of the top favorites of Drake’s fans, making Drake land number 4 on the global artists list!
5. Billie Eilish gave us bangers one after another! Birds of a Feather remained trending audio for reels with its calm symphony and made Billie Eilish one of the Top Artists on Spotify!
From numbers 6 to 10, we have Travis Scott, Peso Pluma, Kanye West, Ariana Grande, and Feid!
When do you usually listen to music? The gym playlist hits differently, and then there’s a work playlist where you want to stay focused, yet it should be loud enough to cancel out any “Karren” yapping unnecessarily! Then, around 5, when we want to quit our jobs because that one last report is still pending and really urgent, we switch to podcasts and TedTalks to keep us motivated! Then we head back and unwind with some slow jam or get in party mode! Who knew this was a global trend! Spotify Wrapped 2024 proved that we weren’t the only ones vibing to this soulful music! People called it symbolic and peaceful! We are not getting over this one anytime soon!
From number 4 to number 10 on the list, we have the iconic music of 2024! Each one beholds memories that we will hold on to!
Spotify Wrapped 2024 gave us a flashback of all the bittersweet memories of the year! The flashbacks, nostalgia, and the proud moment of seeing our favorite artists on top! Every region had its own artists, and only some made it to the global list! Spotify Wrapped 2024 faced some backlash from the fans, too, as they penned their thoughts that the wrap didn’t depict the true picture! Some content creators blame the AI approach to Wrapped for the numbers not settling well with them! They complained that it lacked personalization and soul! Many influencers have taken up Social Media to claim their list wasn’t accurate! Yet, Spotify Wrapped reminds one of the most discussed topics these days, and people believe that with the passage of time, AI results may seem much more personalized!
Vogue Vocal believes that as people really take these things personally, maybe Spotify should refine its metrics so people can really look forward to it with the same excitement. Otherwise, it will soon become a lost trend!
