At number 8 on our list of Best Movies Streaming Now, we have ‘Transformers One’. We know what you’re thinking. Didn’t Transformers 1 already release in 2007? Well, you’re right! But this Transformers One is different. You see, this Transformers film shows the origin story of how Optimus Prime (the hero) and Megatron (the villain) became enemies. If you are a Transformers fan this should have excited you by now!
Movie Plot: This story takes us back to the days where the rift started between two epic legends! Orion Pax also known as Optimus Prime and D-16 better known as Megatron were miners. Adventure and drama unfolds as they start their journey to the matrix of leadership. They are on their way to meet two people called Elita and B-17 while D-16 betrays their trust and tries to take over the leadership of the world in greed and envy. Now it’s three miners against the whole world! Would they be able to stop an army? You have to watch this thrilling movie to find out!
Vogue Vocal Rating: A 7.4/10 from us. We would have loved it more if it wasn’t an animated one! Show us Optimus Prime in his full glory!
At number 7 on our list of Best Movies Streaming Now, we have Smile 2 (2024), the sequel to Smile (2022) and just so you know, this is a horror movie so you might not want to watch it at night! Unless you’re willing to challenge the movie to test how scary it really is.
Movie Plot: The movie is about a superstar music sensation Sky Riley who is about to start her journey for a sold-out concert tour! The drama begins when Riley meets her friend Lucas who not only is a drug dealer but currently holds the smile curse! And so begins the freefall!
Vogue Vocal Rating: Not a scary movie fan, but if we have to judge a movie by its cover, trailers, plot, and audience rating; It’s a 6/10.
Standing at number 6 in our epic guide to the Best Movies Streaming Now is Alien: Romulus. Again, this is a horror movie. Again if you are a fan of the horror genre then this one is for you our freaky friends!
Movie Plot: Alien: Romulus is basically a Science Fiction Horror film. This belongs to the Alien franchise covering the plot between the events of Alien 1979 and Aliens 1986.It’s the story of six oppressed young space colonists who come across some hostile creatures on a space station! It combines the curiosity of space as well as aliens so perfect for the sci-fi fans!
Vogue Vocal Rating: Judging the movie based on reviews we would rate this movie an 8.6/10. One prominent comment was the quality of animation! Maybe they were trying to picture that era but viewers commented that animation quality could have been better!
At number 5, Vogue Vocal has “Venom: The Last Dance” in our list of Best Movies Streaming Now. This isn’t really a horror movie, it’s more of a Sci-Fi/Superhero movie. This is a bonus for Marvel fans around the globe and it;s doing a really good business!
Movie Plot: Written and directed by Kelly Marcel, Venom: The Last Dance is an American Superhero film from the Marvel comic series. The Venom franchise started in 2018, returned with Venom: Let there be Carnage in 2021, and now wraps up with this fifth film from Sony’s Spiderman Universe. No spoilers here but Marvel fans this is going to be epic so you cannot miss it!
Vogue Vocal Rating: Somewhere deep down all millennials grew up watching and reading comics so this one might be a little biased but we give it a solid 9/10.
We cannot skip the children’s favorites in our list of Best Movies Streaming Now! Because at number 4, we have Moana 2! The sequel to the 2016 animated film, Moana. I heard there’s even a live action movie coming in May 2026 and we couldn’t be more excited about it!
Movie Plot: The movie showcases the time three years after the first film as Moana is called back! Her wayfinding ancestors have a new adventure for her so she forms her own crew, reunites with her friend Maui and sets on this new journey! The voyage is an adventure on its own as they come across some old and new foes. With the will to break the God Nalo’s curse on Motufetu, the hidden island. Moana fans are obviously going to love this movie so it’s the perfect holiday watch with hot cocoa and kids snuggling in warm blankies!
Vogue Vocal Rating: Moana you did it! For being the perfect family watch, Moana earns a 10/10!
It gets more and more exciting! At Number 3 in our list of Best Movies Streaming Now we have…drumroll..Wicked! Like, the movie is literally called wicked so we doubt there were high hopes! Haven’t watched the movie before but it’s made by Disney so we bet it’s a live action remake of one of their old 1900’s movies. Includes Dorothy from ‘The Wizard of OZ’ so a treat for the OG fans!
Movie Plot: Are you up for a musical? Wicked is a musical composition with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz based on the book written by Winnie Holzman! This musical is an adaptation of the novel The Wonderful Wizard of OZ and its film. The musical narrates the two- sided experiences of the two witches before and after Dorothy’s arrival in OZ. It tells the tales of complex friendships and contrasting personalities!
Vogue Vocal Rating: So this one really depends upon your love for musicals! With the reviews we read online the rating falls at 4/10.
Number 2 in the Best Movies Streaming Now is “Red One” starring none other than The Rock, Dwayne Johnson who also starred as Maui in Moana 2 and 1. This is a perfect movie to watch if you’re having a Christmas party this December. Because a Santa Movie on Christmas, too cliche? We don’t think so!
Movie Plot: Red One is a classic American action-adventure! It’s this year’s Christmas comedy that you were waiting for! Santa Claus is kidnapped and Dwayne Johnson the head of North Pole Security to the rescue! Teaming up with Dwayne, his partner in the mission is a hacker who helps locate Santa! The Christmas-themed franchise is in safe hands with the Red One!
Vogue Vocal Rating: We are definitely looking forward to this one so it’s a good 8.9/10.
At number 1 in trending, the movie that made it to the top of our list in Best Movies Streaming Now we have Gladiator 2! The Sequel to ‘Gladiator’ is now here! And fun fact, this was the 2nd last Paramount movie trailer about a movie releasing in 2024.
Movie Plot: Gladiator needs no introduction! This epic historical action film is an all-time classic! You get a glimpse of the original movie with Jacobi and Nielsen playing the same roles from the first film. Mescal replaces Spencer Treat Clark and plays Lucius whose home is attacked and invaded by the Roman army! Seeking his revenge rises the Gladiator!
Vogue Vocal Rating: This movie is trending for a good reason and it’s a 10/10 cinematic wonder!
